JACKSON

4 YR OLD BLM MUSTANG GELDING

GOALS:  Gentling, halter breaking, ground training, starting under saddle, family/trail horse at the end

PROGESS:  Jackson is a bit stubborn but has been with us a month now. He is wearing his first halter now and learning to come off of pressure and beginning to lead.

SPIRIT

5 YR OLD QUARTER HORSE GELDING

GOALS:  REMEDIAL HORSE THAT WAS TERRIFIED OF ALL INTERACTION WITH HUMANS. This gelding was severely beaten by a trainer attempting to break him in for his owner.  he had panic attacks at the slightest movement from a person.  He would have a panic attack immediately after saddling and then immediately after a rider mounted.  Spirit's owner was as scared of him as he was of her.  She simply wanted a nice pleasure horse to ride.

PROGESS:  Spirit and Tracey have been riding together now for two months.  They are both relaxed and confident.  They competed in there first Gymkhana event one week ago and won a second place ribbon   WE are all extremely proud of both horse and rider for overcoming all there fears and anxieties thru dedication and hard work.

OLIVER

4YR OLD BLM MUSTANG GELDING

GOALS: Gentling, Halter breaking, ground training, starting under saddle, finish horse as a trail/ border patrol horse

PROGRESS: Reno  is a very curious horse.  He is doing well.  We now have our hands on him and are getting him used to all the new grooming equipment, saddle, blanket etc..

BUDDY

4 YR OLD PAINT GELDING

GOALS: Buddy goal is to be a safe family trail riding horse.

PROGRESS: He was a little pushy, stubborn and very lazy when her arrived.  He had some issues with bucking and biting and would not keep his head out of the grass when riding.   Today he stands for farrier, tacking, bathing, vet, mounting etc.  He loads well in trailers.  He now carries himself very nicely at the walk, jog, and lope and is a respectful horse that is fun to ride.

Buddy's owners took him for his first trail ride since he has been in training and they came back all smiles.  They finally have a horse they can enjoy and trust on the trail.  Buddy has also begun competing in Gymkhana events with a student here at the ranch and his young rider loves him. His owners have decided to keep Buddy at the ranch to maintain his manners and riding.
