MUSICAL STALLS

This is similar in approach to musical chairs.  This is a game in which riders race to 4 foot by 4 foot “stalls” made of ground poles when the music stops.   Because there is always one fewer stall then there are players, one rider is eliminated in each round.

 Instructions

  1. Instructors  set up “stalls” using ground poles.
  1. Riders walk along the fence while “stalls” are being set up.
  1. Instructor calls out required gait, riders circle arena at designated gait.
  1. When music stops riders ride to into nearest stall and remain there.  Rider left without a stall is eliminated.
  1. Last rider in the last stall wins.

   RULES

No crossing through the center of the arena.

No turning to ride in the opposite direction.

If horse steps out of stall over the rail, rider and horse are eliminated.

Riders must maintain a constant gait or horse and rider are eliminated.
