The foundation of all our activities at JNR Farms Forgotten Trails stems from the premise that a strong bond between horse and rider must be achieved. That bond will become the basis for your success. That's why all our Level 1 Clinics involve extensive ground work. All participants must complete our Level 1 Clinics before advancing on to Level 2 which is performed in saddle.

In our
Level 1 Horsemanship Clinic you will learn tying properly, leading properly, desensitizing to equipment, lunging, disengaging the hindquarters, backing your horse, manipulating a horse's body weight through the halter, disengaging the forequarters, side passing along the fence, taking your horse across a spooky object, and taking you and your horse through a narrow opening safely.
Cost: $100 per Horse and Rider Team
In our
Level 2 Horsemanship Clinic you will learn proper tack fit, mounting properly, one rein stops at all three gaits, downward and upward transitions, emergency dismounts, disengaging the hindquarters, disengaging the forequarters, leg yielding at the trot, riding a horse over a spooky object, and riding a horse through difficult footing.
Cost: $125 per Horse and Rider Team
In our
Level 1 Bomb Proofing Your Horse Clinic your horse will learn to tolerate smoke bombs, swimmer's noodles, inflatable toys, balls of all sizes, traffic cones, signs, tape, tarps, flags, flumes, firecrackers, old tires, leaf blowers, plastic grocery bags filled with aluminum cans and drums. He will also learn to cross a 4' X 6' bridge that teeters as he crosses.
Cost: $150 per Horse and Rider Team
In our
Level 2 Bomb Proofing Your Horse Clinic you will ride your horse through water crossings, construction zones, in difficult footing, pass under and through objects, cross brush and tree limbs, ride through mud bogs, tight places and over bridges. By the end of our two Bomb Proofing Clinics your horse should tolerate smoke, fireworks, flares, sudden noises, sudden movements from objects and objects coming at them.
Cost: $175 per Horse and Rider Team
In our
Trailer Loading Instruction Clinic you will learn how to safely load and unload your horse. Participation in this clinic requires completion of the Level 1 Horsemanship Clinic. Remember, building a strong bond between horse and rider will make your horse a willing participant in the trailer loading experience.
Cost: $100 per Horse and Rider Team
You Must Have a Rope Halter with a 14' Lead Rope ($30 at clinic) and a Stock Whip ($15 at clinic)
